Meet the New Teachers at Trinity Christian Academy
Trinity Christian Academy welcomed several new teachers to the secondary school this year, adding fresh faces to the Bible, Math and English departments. The Trinity Times staff sat down with each of them to hear their stories.
Ms. Wade – Bible Department
Ms. Wade, now in her third year of teaching, brings energy and enthusiasm to her Bible classes. She loves “nerding out” about Scripture and creating interactive lessons, like her quirky “bread game,” where students toss around a plush loaf while answering questions.
When asked what makes TCA unique, she said, “Everyone loves Jesus and is kind to me. No one’s yelling at me or anything crazy.” Psalm 23 is her favorite passage, which helped her through high school struggles with anxiety. “It reminded me that God is always with me, leading and protecting me,” she shared. And in case you’re wondering, her “favorite student” is, of course, the bread.
Ms. Baker – Math Department
Ms. Baker, a TCA alum herself, joins the math department in her second year of teaching, following a year at Aledo. She describes TCA as the place God called her to be, noting the students’ kindness and respect.
Her favorite verse is James 1:17: “That verse is so important to me because the Lord has been so faithful. Everything He’s done for me has been a merciful gift.” When asked about a favorite student, she gave a very teacher-like answer: “The respectable ones.”
Mrs. Beauchamp – English Department
With six years of experience, Mrs. Beauchamp now teaches eighth-grade English, on-level sophomore English, and the Newspaper elective, which she describes as “so much fun.” She has noticed a big difference between TCA and her previous schools; students here are respectful and diligent. “At my old schools, maybe 50% of students turned in their work. Here, it’s closer to 99%.”
She values the culture at TCA, describing it as a church family within an academic setting. Her favorite verse is Romans 8:28: “I have to remember that even if something bad happens, God works all things together for good for those who love Him.” When pressed on her favorite student, she gave the classic safe answer: “All students are my favorite.”
Coach Mani – Math Department
Rounding out the new hires is Coach Mani, who teaches seventh and eighth grade math. Previously at MC Prep and Colleyville Covenant, he says TCA feels much the same as other Christian schools, though he notes students here are highly motivated. “Students care about their academics. There are more who are really driven to do well.”
His favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5–6, which reminds him to trust God and take the pressure off himself to perform. When asked about his favorite student, he laughed and said it was too early to tell, though definitely not Paul Chrane (jokingly).
From plush bread to Proverbs, these teachers bring a mix of fun, wisdom, and faith to the classroom. They’re excited to get to know their students and begin a great year at TCA.
