Seniors Paint Their Parking Spots

The senior class at Trinity Christian Academy wrapped up their summer by painting their parking spots for the upcoming school year.

Each year, seniors have the opportunity to personalize their assigned spots with unique designs that reflect their personalities. The project not only brightens the parking lot but also gives students something to look forward to as they begin their final year of high school.

Before painting, seniors were required to complete 10 additional community service hours focused on helping those in need. From volunteering at local food pantries to assisting with clothing drives and outreach programs, students put in the extra effort to give back to the community. This requirement added deeper meaning to the tradition, reminding seniors of the importance of service and compassion alongside the celebration of their final year.

To add to the excitement, the Trinity Times invited high school students to vote for their favorite design. After more than 80 votes were cast, the winning design went to Breely Chapman, whose beach-themed spot received 18 votes. In second place was Patrick Gullatt’s creative Hangman-themed design with 12 votes, followed closely by Ezra Burk’s LSU-themed spot in third place with 11 votes.

This year, more than 30 seniors participated in the parking spot painting tradition. Designs ranged from Bible verses and inspirational quotes to displays of athletic interests and favorite sports teams. Third-place winner Ezra Burk said he has been a “big fan of LSU” since childhood, which inspired his design. First-place winner Breely Chapman explained that she chose a beach theme because it feels like her “home away from home,” and the poem featured on her spot is one of her personal favorites.
