In a wave of exciting hires, five new coaches have officially joined Trinity Christian Academy’s athletic program this fall. Each coach brings unique skills, fresh perspectives, and a passion for building strong teams, both on and off the field.
Coach Campbell comes to TCA from Stephenville High School, where he led the Yellow Jackets football team. Known for his leadership and high-powered offensive schemes, Coach Campbell is already generating buzz on campus. When asked about his favorite memory so far, he said, “Getting to know everybody, and getting the chance in the summer to work with a lot of the kids.”
Players say the energy at practice has shifted noticeably since Campbell’s arrival. With a renewed focus on fundamentals, team culture, and accountability, expectations are high heading into the season. Coach Campbell has also helped bring in key additions to the coaching staff, including Coach Hale, Coach Miller, and Coach Boyd.
Coach Hale, now serving as TCA’s new defensive coordinator, brings years of experience working with high school defenses. Known for his attention to detail and focus on fundamentals, Coach Hale is bringing energy and intensity to the defensive side of the ball. “The summer was essential to get to know the kids on more of a personal level compared to public high schools,” he said. Players agree that his high-energy coaching style is exactly what the defense needs to become elite in their district.
Coach Boyd makes the move from rival school LCCS to serve as the wide receivers coach. His familiarity with the district and track record for developing skilled position players make him a valuable addition. “The environment here is more family-friendly than LCCS,” Boyd said. He’s already building strong relationships with his players and looks forward to helping them grow both on and off the field.
Coach Miller joins the football program as the new defensive line coach. With a background in player development and a hands-on coaching style, he’s focused on building a tough, disciplined front line. “We’re working on technique, effort, and accountability every day,” Miller said. “The goal is to be the most physical unit on the field, from the first snap to the last.” Players say they like his ability to balance fun and focus at practice.
Coach Mani joins the basketball program and is already making an impact. Known for his calm yet competitive coaching style, he brings a focus on discipline, fundamentals, and player development. “I want players to enjoy the game, but also play it the right way — with good form, good technique, and strong fundamentals,” Mani said. Previously at MC Prep, he saw an opportunity at TCA and didn’t want to miss it. He’s excited to start building chemistry and consistency on the court.
With these five new coaches on board, TCA’s athletic program is entering a season of growth, energy, and high expectations. Players and fans alike are excited to see what the future holds.
