Spring is in full swing at TCA, and that means only one thing. Golf, tennis, and track season is underway. Across all three sports, athletes have been putting in consistent work, competing with determination, and building strong team chemistry throughout the spring. From the course to the court to the track, each program has shown growth, resilience, and excitement as they continue through their seasons.

The golf team has continued to show growth and success throughout the season, with both JV and Varsity players making strong strides on the course. The JV boys golf team finished as district champions, highlighting the program’s depth and development, while the Varsity boys earned a spot in the regional tournament. The team is looking ahead with confidence and determination. “Having an opportunity to make state—we are definitely a stronger team than last year, so I’m excited,” said Alex Reynolds when asked about what he is anticipating for the upcoming regional tournament. The team’s chemistry has also played a role in their success, especially with family connections on the roster. “It was cool, I guess. We had a lot of fun,” said Henry Reynolds when asked about playing alongside his brother. With momentum on their side, the team is ready to take on the next level of competition.

The tennis team has had a season filled with competition, growth, and memorable experiences, as players continue to develop their skills on the court. Competing against strong opponents, the team has demonstrated resilience and a willingness to improve with each match. One highlight of the season was the Midland tennis trip, where athletes faced tough competition and gained valuable experience. “I get to play it with my friends, which is so enjoyable, and our Crumbl Cookie trip in Midland was a lot of fun,” said Sarah Sawyer when reflecting on the season. The competitive nature of the trip also pushed the team to grow, as “It was very competitive. Our boys went 8–9 but did excellent. We all learned and grew from the experience,” said Colt Gomas. Through both competition and team bonding, the tennis program continues to build a strong foundation for success.

The track team has continued to build momentum throughout the season, with athletes competing across a wide range of events and pushing themselves to improve each meet. As a program, they have faced strong competition at the district level while still achieving notable success and personal milestones. “It’s really nice breaking the record as a freshman. District was nice because we came out with third overall against harder competition,” said Charlotte Parker when reflecting on her first year of high school track and the team’s performance. For many athletes, this season has also been about adjustment and growth, as newcomers learn to adapt to the demands of daily training and competition. “There were a few challenges along the way, just with getting used to running every day, but other than that it was a pretty easy transition,” said Lyla Kloven when reflecting on her first year in track. With a mix of experienced leaders and new athletes, the team continues to develop strength and confidence heading into future meets.

As the spring season continues, all three programs are focused on finishing strong and building on the success they have already achieved. Whether competing individually or as a team, TCA’s athletes are representing their school with hard work, dedication, and pride.
