Turning Point USA, founded by Charlie Kirk, is a non-profit organization that supports conservative Christian values in schools across the nation. After Charlie Kirk’s passing, Turning Point has experienced somewhat of a revival in the hearts and minds of students at TCA and across the United States. One student has been especially inspired by that revival and has decided to do something to support Turning Point’s message within the halls of TCA.
Turning Point USA is able to set up different chapters, sections of the organization, in places with a lot of like-minded individuals. A chapter is a mini-base of operations for people who are interested, giving them a little piece of Turning Point in their own community. Members get to meet with others who share their values and discuss topics that concern them, whether political or not. The chapters support critical-thinking skills and leadership abilities in their young members. Turning Point USA cares about its members and about helping them become the best men and women they can be in the world.
The student attempting to set up a Turning Point chapter at Trinity Christian Academy or Trinity Bible Church is Jack Brammer. Jack is a sophomore at TCA who is the star of Eagle TV and a participant in many school athletics and arts programs. Jack was especially affected by the passing of Charlie Kirk. He was introduced to Kirk at a young age and has looked up to him as a strong, Christian figure in his life. He watched almost every YouTube video of Kirk in awe. After Kirk’s assassination, Jack wanted to set up a chapter to create a local space for like-minded students at TCA.
Jack has contacted representatives at Turning Point USA about setting up a chapter, and they have exchanged emails regarding the topic. He also met with a Turning Point representative at a local Starbucks, and the meeting went well. Jack has done a solid job of organizing the Turning Point chapter, with the leadership all chosen: Jack will serve as president, Kaydee Hobbs as vice president, and Pearson Kuykendall as secretary. Once the final details are worked out, the chapter will have a home at either TCA or Trinity Bible Church, giving any Eagle the opportunity to join.
If you’re interested, stay tuned or talk to Jack for more details. He is doing his best to get the chapter set up and create a space for students to connect, learn, and grow together.
